Luciano Colucci is an artist of Italian origin based in Fuerteventura. His personality, influenced by the fusion of both cultures, is proactive and cheerful. As a multifaceted artist, he uses experimentation to step out of his comfort zone and always create unique works. His academic training was entirely devoted to the world of art. He explores various painting techniques, although watercolor is the one that most helps him in his ongoing experimentation. He feels particularly attached to this technique because his learning began as a challenge,
maintaining the illusion of being able to control water, until he understood that the unpredictability of this primordial element is the basic factor of the technique. He likes to define it as the “technique of silence,” for the lightness with which the brush glides on the paper. Initially a figurative artist, his landscapes speak for themselves, narrating his experiences as if they were part of a travel diary. His ongoing research has led him to create remarkable abstract and conceptual creations. He is an artist in constant evolution, always ready to embark on new projects.
